Seven criminals of inter state gang arrested

Nawada, Sep 12 (UNI) Police today arrested seven criminals of an inter state gang, involved in kidnapping of truck drivers, from Rajouri police station area in the district.

District police superintendent Vinod Kumar said the criminals were arrested during a routine patrolling near Bihar-Jharkhand border under the police station area in Nawada.

''On the basis of clue provided by the arrested criminals during the interrogation, a hijacked truck and its driver in unconscious state were also recovered,'' Mr Kumar said adding a country made pistol and some cartridges were also recovered from the criminals.

''Some of the arrested criminals belonged to neighbouring West Bengal,'' he said adding an FIR was registered at Rajouri police station in this connection.
