Mumbai, Sep 10 (UNI) Select seeds and edible oils, including groundnut, palm and sunflower, today drifted lower on sluggish demand from bulk consumers in the face of larger stock arrivals from producing centres like Gujarat, Andhra and some northern centres, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

Prices of key seeds (per quintal) like groundnut and castorseed declined by Rs 100 and Rs 50 respectively on reports of better crops coming at the producing centres. Nigerseed looked up by Rs 50 on fresh demand at lower levels by bulk consumers.

Edible oils (per ten kg) such as groundnut raw, refined palmolein and sunflower expeller were up by Rs 20, Rs five and Rs 10 respectively, owing to lesser inflows from producing areas. copra white, castor and rice bran grades eased by Rs five each on poor buying from bulk consumers and larger stocks.

However, all de-oiled cakes remained steady, traders added.
