Gold, silver down on thin demand
Mumbai, Sep 9: On Wednesday, Sep 12, the value of standard mint gold and silver were down by Rs 220 at Rs 11,460 per ten gm and Rs 695 at Rs 19,085 per kg respectively during the opening session on sluggish demand from local dealers in view of discouraging advices from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.
Traders received a report from Asian markets that gold fell to USD 780.50/783.40 from USD 810.25/814.60 an ounce and white metal was quoted low at USD 11.40/11.45 an ounce from its previous close, which affected to downward trend at the domestic prices.
