College staff crushed to death in Chennai

Chennai, Sep 10: A junior assistant working in the Pachaiyappa's college was crushed to death when a car-laden container, ran amok, overturned and fell on him near Arumbakkam in the city this morning.

Police said the college staff Adikesavan (42) was travelling in his two wheeler when the mishap occurred.

The driver of the lorry, carrying Honda cars to Chennai Harbour for shipment, lost control over the vehicle, which ran amok, before it capsized and fell on Adikesavan.

The body was sent to Kilpauk Medical College for post-mortem.

The lorry driver was picked up for interrogation.
