200 kg explosive recovered in Jammu
Jammu, Sep 10 (UNI) Police arrested one person and recovered 200 kilograms of explosive from a private vehicle in Sidhra area on the city outskirts, official sources said here today.
''Based on specific information, police intercepted a private vehicle at a nakka laid down at Sidhra, which was on its way from Reasi to Jammu,'' sources told UNI.
During frisking, 200 kilograms of explosive including detonators was recovered from the vehicle, the sources said adding, ''the arrested person revealed that the assorted material belonged to a local contractor.'' The sources said the reason behind transporting huge quantity of explosive to Jammu is yet to be ascertained while investigations were in progress.
