Russia hails NSG waiver to India

Moscow, Sep 9 (UNI) Russia has hailed the exclusive waiver granted by the 45-member Nulcear Suppliers Group (NSG) to India.

''Russia was one of the countries to initiate this move,'' Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statment referring to the unanimous adoption of the statment about the peaceful nuclear cooperation with India, in Vienna.

''We are convinced that the waiver to India reflects Delhi's impeccable record in the non-proliferation sphere and will guarantee the peaceful uses of nuclear exports to India,'' the statment noted.
