Man gets death for rape and murder

Siwan, Sep 9 (UNI) A sessions court here today awarded a death sentence to a man in a four-year-old rape and murder case.

Additional District and sessions Judge Gyaneswar Prasad found Ramdeo Prasad quilty of raping and subsequently killing a minor.

He was also awarded 10 years' rigorous imprisonment for rape.

According to the charges, the accused, a dweller in Paanchrukhhi police station area, kidnapped his neighbour's four-year-old daughter and then raped and murdered her on December 21,2004.
