Two RTO officials arrested, Rs 1.22 lakh bribe money seized
Bangalore, Sep 8 (UNI) Karnataka Lokayukta sleuths have arrested two RTO officials on corruption charges and recovered from them tainted amount of Rs 1.22 lakh at Koganur village in Nippani taluk of Belgaum district.
Acting on information that officials and their touts were collecting money from the drivers of vehicles passing through the RTO checkpost at Koganur village, Loyayukta sleuths carried out a raid yesterday.
The officials found Rs 3,66,340 in the possession of RTO officials including receipts and a bribe amount of 1,22,495, a release from Lokayukta said here today.
