Slowdown in global economy has not affected Infosys: Pai
Pune, Sep 8 (UNI) Current slowdown in the global economy has not affected the growth of Infosys and the company is growing its business all over the world, T V Mohandas Pai, Member of the Board and Director, Human Resources, Infosys said here today.
Addressing mediapersons at the Infosys Hinjewadi campus, Mr Pai said the Pune operation has completed ten years, and the Company has developed its Phase II at the Hinjewadi infotect park, which makes Pune the biggest development centre in India in terms of head counts.
Infosys started construction on the Phase I campus in 1999, which is spread over 25 acres and has a seating capacity of 4,321, phase II campus for which Company has spend 880 crore, has a built up area of 31.29 mn sq.ft and a total seating capacity of 21,449.
Infosys currently has 19,083 employees working in both the campus. It has registered export of Rs 7,270 crore for the twelve months ending June 30, 2008. Phase II, has six software development centres and one BPO building with three more software development blocks and one BOP building under construction.
