Ten officials suspended in Poonch

Jammu, Sep 6 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir administration, today suspended ten officials for ''spreading communal tension'' in Poonch district during the agitation over Amarnath land row, sources here said.

''The employees of various departments, who were found involved in the recent agitation and provoking the masses to create communal tension, have been placed under suspension and attached with district level officer concerned with immediate effect,'' a senior official told UNI.

The official further said earlier also at least 20 government officials were suspended in the context and stern action would be taken against them.
