Nitish government misleading people on flood situation in Bihar:RJD
Patna, Sep 6 (UNI) The RJD today alleged that the Nitish Kumar government was misleading people of Bihar by making false statements on flood situation in the state.
National spokesman of the party Shyam Rajak told newspersons here that the Nitish Kumar government was deliberately under playing the casualties figure and those affected by the devastating flood.
''It is virtually an open secret that about 45 lakhs people were affected by the flood fury but the data released by the state government was far below and distorted,'' he alleged.
Mr Rajak said that the Chief Minister had claimed for evacuating the flood victims in North Bihar within three days but despite more than ten days after his announcement, lakhs of people were still stranded in the flood affected areas of the state.
''It appears that the state government was repeating the utter negligence in relief and rescue operation as it had committed in carrying out flood protection measures on Kosi embankment,'' he maintained.
