Jyoti Basu suffers head injury

Kolkata, Sep 6: Former West Bengal Chief Minister and CPI(M) patriarch Jyoti Basu was admitted to hospital after he sustained head injuries after a fall at his Indira Bhavan residence here.

Mr Basu received the injury when he slipped in the toilet in the early hours Friday. He received one stitch each on his forehead and upper portion of the head and was today admitted at a hospital in Salt Lake. Doctors attending on him told newspersons that his condition was stable.Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee also paid him a visit.
