Heavy rains in West Bengal, Sikkim

Pune, Sep 6 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Konkan, Goa, Rayalaseema, coastal and north interior Karataka and Kerala. They are likely to occur at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, south interior Karataka and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Orissa, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Andaman and Nicobar islands.

The south-west monsoon has been active in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh and Vidarbha. It has been subdued in Jharkhand, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch and Tamil Nadu.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at many places in Gujrat region. Heavy rains have occurred at most places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and at many places in Vidarbha. They have occurred at a few places in Chhattisgarh.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, and at many places in Uttarakhand, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, west Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Rayalaseema, Kerala and Lakshadweep. They have occurred at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, and at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Jharkhand, east Rajasthan, west Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, interior Karataka and Andman and Nicobar.
