Maharashtra: Three killed in accident
Nashik, Sep 4: Three perople were killed and 24 were injured in a tempo-truck collision near Ojhar town in the district today.
Police said the deceased included driver of the ill-fated Tata tempo. All of them were residents of Dharangaon in Jalgaon district.
The vehicle was on its way to Nashik from Dharangaon, when it collided with a milk tanker coming from the opposite direction, near Ojhar town. The accident took place at around 0430 hrs.
The deceased as well as the injured were passengers of the tempo, mostly women, going for a pilgrimage at Nashik, on the occasion of 'Rishi Panchami'.
The injured have been admitted to the Nashik District Civil Hospital. The condition of most of them is said to be serious.
