Honda's small car by 2009

New Delhi, Sep 4: On Thursday, Sep 4, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd said it will launch a premium 1.2-litre hatchback next year. ''We will launch 1.2-litre small car with all luxury features by 2009,'' Company Vice President (Marketing) Jnaneswar Sen told to mediapersons in New Delhi.

Though the company did not divulge the cost of the car to the customers, it is estimated that it will priced around Rs 4.5-5 lakh. Mr Sen said the car will be a global model but only for the Indian market, adding that the company does not plan to export the hatchback. The company has completed the Research and Development for the car in Japan.
