Ceat declares lay-off of its Bhandup factory for Sep 4

Mumbai, Sep 4 (UNI) Leading tyre manufacturer Ceat has declared a lay-off of its factory at Bhandup here for two days from today.

The lay-off was necessitated due to excess of inventory at the factories due to overall slow down in tyre sales on account of gloomy competitive market scenario, the Company said in a release here.

The decision had been taken in agreement with the Union of the Workmen, the Company management said.
