Cabinet approves issuance of Presidential order on delimitation
New Delhi, Sep 4 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today gave its approval to issue the Presidential Order notifying the effective date in respect of a few corrigendum/amendment in the final order in rspect of delimitation of constituencies of Karnataka, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Bihar and NCT of Delhi.
An official Spokesman told mediapersons after the meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, that this was done in pursuance of the second proviso to article 82 and the second proviso to clause (3) of article 170 of the Constitution.
