Now, a lesbian couple in the dock for kissing on Dubai beach

Melbourne, Sept 3 : A lesbian couple has been jailed for kissing on a public beach in Dubai.

The Dubai Court of Appeal found the couple guilty of indecency in the first case of its kind in Dubai.

The Appeal Court has awarded one-month jail sentence to a 30-year-old Lebanese and 36-year-old Bulgarian women, after which they will be deported to their hometown.

The prosecution has charged the women with kissing, groping each other and indecent acts on Al Mamzar public beach, reports Daily Telegraph.

The onlookers saw the two women getting intimate with each other, following which the police was called.

'The Lebanese woman was lying on top of the Bulgarian and the two were cuddling and kissing each other in front of us,' a witness said in the official records.

'I called the police because it was indecent especially as there were some families around,' the witness added.

The case coincides with a British couple who appeared in a Dubai court accused of having sex on a beach in the booming Gulf city state.
