Jaya extends 'Ganesh Chathurthi' greetings
Chennai, Sep 2 (UNI) Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa today greeted the people of Tamil Nadu on the eve of Ganesh Chathurthi.
In her message, Ms Jayalalithaa, describing Lord Ganesh as 'God of Kindness', wished peace and prosperity to all sections of the society.
''I convey my best wishes to the people, who, on the occasion of Vinayaka Chathurthi, offer their prayers for coming out of various crisis, facing the state and live in peace and happiness,'' she said.
The people should invoke the blessings of God for fall in the spiralling prices of essentials, prevalence of peace and emergence of good governance in the state on the occasion, she said.
