Panaji, Sep 1 (UNI) Chief Minister Digambar Kamat today said he would lead a delegation to the Centre, demanding a special status for Goa, banning sale of agricultural land to people from other states to preserve its unique identity.
Interacting with mediapersons here, the chief minister said the government was now making out its case for special status and the delegation would make a presentation before the Centre after the festival holidays.
He said the delegation would call on Union Information and Broadcasting minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi to direct the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF) to allow the Goa government maximum liberty to handle several sections of the International Film Festival of India on its own, in due course.
