Agitated villagers lynch miscreant in Purushottampur
Betia, Sep 1: A group of agitated villagers lynched a miscreant at Purushottampur village under Manjolia police station of West Champaran district, police said here on Monday, Sep 1.
A gang of four armed miscreants entered the house of one Baggar Yadav in Purushottampur village on Sunday, Aug 31 and tried to loot the house, police added.
As Yadav tried to resist the miscreants, they injured him with sharp-edged weapons.
On hearing his shouts, the neighbours rushed to his house and nabbed one of the miscreants and lynched him on the spot.
Later, police arrived on the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
The injured villager was admitted to the town hospital.
An FIR had been lodged in the local police station.
