Saffronart to auction artworks worth Rs 16.63 cr
Mumbai, Aug 30 (UNI) Online auction house Saffronart will put 130 works by 62 artist valued at Rs 16.63 crore for its annual Autumn Online Auction of Contemporary Indian art, to be held on September 3-4.
The collection includes works of Atul Dodiya, Rashid Rana, Surendran Nair and Subodh Gupta, a release said here.
''We are very excited about the attention Contemporary Indian art is drawing around the world. We have always believed that Indian contemporary art has tremendous potential, and the consistent interest that we have witnessed among collectors for this genre has reinforced this,'' co-founder and director of Saffronart, Dinesh Vazirani said in the release.
