Pregnant woman, minor sons burnt alive

Ghazipur, Aug 30 (UNI) A pregnant woman along with her two minor children were burnt alive for not bringing in enough dowry in Dullahpur area here late last night, police said today.

Lakhandar Gupta used to assault his wife Asha over his demand of a motorcycle from his in-laws.

Yesterday also Lakhandar had a fight with his wife over the same and in rage burnt alive his wife and children Golu (3) and Mukesh (1.5) after dozing kerosene on them.

Later, Lakhandar and other family members fled the scene.

Asha and the children succumbed on the spot.

A case had been registered and search was on to nab the absconders.
