Karnataka blames Goa for politicking water project
Hubli, Aug 30 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Water Resources Basavaraj Bommai today alleged that Goa Government had indulged in politicking of Mahadayi issue, despite the State Government's assurance that the Kalasa and Bandoori Nalla schemes were drinking water projects.
Speaking to newspersons here, Mr Basavaraj said, of the total available water from Mahadayi to Karnataka, the Government had been using 7.56 TMC water to supply to the people of Dharwad and Belgaum districts.
The Minister said the State Government had been implementing the project as per the guidelines of the Supreme Court.
Tamil Nadu Government was politicking in Hogenakkal project and it would harm the interests of Karnataka, he alleged.
He said the Government had decided to take a delegation to the Centre to apprise them the exigency of the situation, he added.
