Entrust syllabus revision to independent educationists: Jacob

Kottayam, Aug 30 (UNI) Kerala Congress (KC) leader T M Jacob today urged the State Government to withdraw the SCERT Director's order, entrusting the syllabus revision to the propagators of the extreme Left thinking and ideologies of the Sasthra Sahitya Parishath (SSP).

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Jacob alleged the Government's intention was to propagate Atheism and Communism through the syllabus revision next year too. It should be entrusted to independent educationalists, he added.

The KC leader demanded the immediate intervention of the Union Government to contain violence against the Christians and to protect their lives and property in Orissa.

He also urged the State Government not to insist on rationcards for the purchase of essential commodities.

He said adequate power supply should be ensured for Onam.
