Software company's bus hits student, sparks violence
Chennai, Aug 29 (UNI) Windscreens of three buses belonging to a software company were damaged when public attacked them enraged over one of the vehicles knocking down a Plus One student, at Sholinganallur on the OMR this morning.
Police said the Mahendran (17), a student of the Government Higher Secondary School Sholinganallur, was his way to school when he was hit by the bus.
Mahendran was crossing the road when the bus coming on the wrong side hit him. He was criticially injured and rushed to the hospital.
Enraged students and locals damaged windscreens of three buses parked in the area.
Police rushed to the spot, pacified the agitators and promised action against the errant driver.
