Maya discusses flood situation with UP Governor

Lucknow, Aug 29 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati met Governor T V Rajeswar at the Raj Bhawan here today to discuss the flood situation in the state.

Ms Mayawati, along with state advisory council chairman Satish Chandra Mishra and state cabinet secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh, had consultation with the Governor for about an hour this evening.

It was a courtesy visit after completion of monsoon session of the state legislature.

Meanwhile, the official sources revealed that the Chief Minister apprised the Governor of the measures taken by the government at the flood-hit districts.

Besides, the discussion also featured the possible visit of the President of IndiaPratibha Patil next month.

Ms Patil had to attend a function at Lucknow university here, sources added.
