Ex-Deputy CM takes BJP govt to task
Mysore, Aug 29 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka M P Prakash today alleged that the BJP government in the state has failed to address the people's problems.
Speaking to newsman, he said the opposition parties were also not effectively raising people's issues.
Coming down heavily on 'operation Kamala' to induce MLAs from other parties, he said the Chief Minister had declared that the operation was stopped and it was unfortunate that the senior BJP leaders in New Delhi tolerated such activities.
He criticised the government for not responding to the pressing needs of the drought and flood-hit people. Fifty-four taluks had been affected by drought and a number of places ravaged by floods. The governmnt should have assessed the damage and sent a report to the Centre seeking finincial assistance to provide relief to the affected.
