Christian institutions closed in TN condemning attack

Chennai, Aug 29 (UNI) All the educational institutions run by Christians in Tamil Nadu remained closed today to condemn the attacks on prayer houses and christians at Kandhamal district in Orissa.

The schools were closed for the day as part of the nation-wide protest called by the Catholic Bishops Conference of India (CBCI) to condemn the attacks in Orissa.

The closure was to express solidarity with the Christians, who were the target of attack in the district.
