Better facilities to Tirupati piligrims: TTD Chairman
Tirupati, Aug 28: The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam was a 'dharmic institution' and not a business organisation, newly appointed Chairman of Devasthanam Trust Board D K Audikesavulu has said.
Talking to presspersons after presiding over the first meeting with TTD officials of various departments Wednesday, Aug 27, he said ''every paisa donated by the pilgrims across the world would be utilised for the betterment of the pilgrims.'' Stating that a committee would be formed with board members and TTD officials for effective functioning of the Devasthanam, he said the newly constituted board would accord utmost priority for protecting the sanctity and security of the revered lord Venkateswara temple, besides providing better facilities to the pilgrims visiting Tirumala and welfare of the employees.
