TATA workers stranded inside Singur plant as PKMS activists block exit
Singur, Aug 28 : The activists of anti-farmland acquisition group led by a social activist blocked the exit route of more than 200 construction workers and engineers of Tata Motors car project here, leaving them stranded inside the plant.
Tata officials said the activists of Paschimbanga Khet Majur Samity (PKMS) led by social activist Anuradha Talwar blocked the route and three vehicles carrying them were not allowed to leave the plant site.
Talwar said the blockade will continue till the return of 400 acres of land taken from "unwilling" farmers for the project.
