Order worth Rs 40 cr for GEI Industrial Systems

Mumbai, Aug 28 (UNI) GEI Industrial Systems, a leader in heat transfer technology, has bagged an order worth Rs 40 crore for Air-Cooled Steam Condensers from KSK Group of Hyderabad for their 43 MW coal-based captive power plant at Janjgir Champa in Chhatisgarh.

The other order for Air-Cooled Steam Condenser from Dharani Sugars and Chemicals Limited is for their 22 MW biogas-based cogeneration power plant for the Unit III at Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.

Another major milestone for GEI was booking an order for the largest Air-Cooled Steam Condenser for an 80 MW Captive Power Plant being set up by OPG Power Generation Private Limited at Gummidipoondi, Tamil Nadu.

''Air-cooled heat exchangers and steam condensers are being opted the world over for critical heat transfer applications in process plants, refineries and gas fields. With water becoming a scarce resource, air is being looked at not just as an eco-friendly measure, but also to cut costs in the long run,'' Mr C E Fernandes, Managing Director, GEI Industrial Systems Limited said in a statement.

''With most state governments issuing notification for the use of steam condensers in all power projects, we have tremendous scope to penetrate the power sector,'' Mr Fernandes added.
