Mah Govt signs MoU with GM, Ramcee

Mumbai, Aug 28 (UNI) The Maharashtra government today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with General Motors and Ramcee for producing engines for the company's products.

The power train project will be situated at Talegaon in Pune and the total project will be of 500 million US dollars. It will provide employment to about 1,400 people. The project would produce 16,000 engines per year.

The MoU with Ramcee was signed for agro-processing and export industry. The project will be set up at Latur at an estimated investment of Rs 5-10,000 crore and the job opportunity of 15 to 20 thousand people.

Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and chief secretary Johny Joseph among others were present on the occasion.
