APCC chief's plea to DCC Presidents
Hyderabad, Aug 28 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President D Srinivas today called upon the new District Congress Committee (DCC) Presidents to concentrate on strengthening the Congress Party instead of thinking of other political parties.
Addressing the DCC Presidents at party headquarters 'Gandhi Bhavan' here, Mr Srinivas said it was the responsibility of the DCC to create more awareness among the people on government's welfare programmes.
He asked them to take steps to constitute the DCC and Mandal Committees in consultation with local MPs, MLAs and Incharge Minister of the District before September 30. The list should be submitted to APCC before September 15 for approval.
The APCC would provide training to 50 workers from the booth level under Gandhi Patham to create awareness among the people about the government's programmes.
A high level communication system was installed at the APCC office to which all DCC offices would be connected for quick information dissemination.
