Nagaland, India's Most Picturesque Destination for 2008
Kohima, Aug 27: Nagaland has been declared India's Most Picturesque Destination for the year 2008 at the 11th 'Today's Traveler's Platinum Awards' held in New Delhi.
An official bulletin issued here today stated that Commissioner and Secretary of the state Tourism Department K K Sema, Director of Tourism T Alem Pongner and Executive Engineer T Patton received the award in New Delhi on August 25.
Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Ambika Soni was the Chief Guest at the event, while renowned film producer and director Yash Chopra attended as the Guest of Honour.
The Platinum Awards covered both Domestic and International Tourism, the bulletin added.
