Lalu refutes Nitish charges on Rly jobs
Patna, Aug 24 (UNI) Apparently annoyed with the on going tirade between JD (U) and RJD over ''job for land scam'' in the Railways, Railway Minister and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad today alleged that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was acting with political vendetta.
'' Mr Kumar has mala fide intentions and was making baseless allegations against him (Lalu) just to malign and tarnish his image'' Mr Prasad told newspersons.
Mr Kumar's comments were ''below the dignity'', Mr Prasad said.
The Railway Minister said all of the allegations labelled by the JD(U) against him would be countered at an approrpriate time.
'' I have declared my all assets before the Income Tax and Election Commission'' he said adding that nothing was hidden and he was maintaining total ''transparency'' in it.
Regarding awarding of jobs in the railways to the witnesses, who deposed in his favour in the Disproportionate Asset (DA) case, Mr Prasad clarified that the deposition was made in 2002 and he became the Railway Minister in 2004.
''Mr Kumar, an engineer failed in his calculation this time'', Mr Prasad said sarcastically.
