China to invest in Nepal
Kathmandu, Aug 24 (UNI) President of China Hu Jintao has said the country's support for Nepal's development will continue and expressed willingness to extend investment in the private sector in the Himalayan nation.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today, Mr Jintao also suggested the former to head the peace process and development in Nepal hand in hand, Kantipur reported.
Mr Dahal reiterated Nepal's stance on 'One China policy' and said Nepal would take stern steps to discourage anti-China activities.
Nepal's Ambassador to China Tanka Karki quoted Mr Jintao as saying that he and Mr Dahal held talks for about half an hour.
Mr Dahal conferred with his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao, who expressed his happiness on Mr Dahal's China visit, Mr Karki said.
Leading an 11-member Nepali delegation, Mr Dahal left for Beijing yesterday to attend the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics.
According to Mr Karki, the Prime Ministers talked over for nearly half an hour the Nepal-China bilateral ties and recent political developments in Nepal.

This is the first visit of Nepal's second Communist Prime Minister after he took the post last week.
