Rupee opens low at 43.73 per US Dolloar

Mumbai, Aug 21: The spot rupee on Thursday, Aug 21 resumed softer at 43.73/74 against per US dollar compared to 43.70 on the last finish on fresh dollar selling pressure from bankers.

Later, it was slightly higher as the dollar's weakness against other currencies offset weak local stocks and higher oil prices, but traders were wary about the outlook. Meanwhile, Rupee fluctuated between 43.63 and 43.78 per dollar, during the mid-morning session, dealers said.
