Power production stops following Transformer blast in NTRTPS
Vijayawada, Aug 21 (UNI) Power production at Unit-3 in Narla Tata Rao Thermal Power Station(NTRTPS) came to a halt today following a auxilary Transformer blast here.
Official sources said the power production would be restored by this evening after loads were shifted to the alternative transformer.
Following te blast, about 210 MW of power production had been stopped. The producion was stopped in Unit-I due to maintenance and the work will be resumed from August 27. The unit was being shut down for a fortnight every year for overhauling purpose, the sources added.
