Indo-Pak Joint Committee Visits Jaipur Jail
Jaipur Aug 21 (UNI) Efforts will be made for the early release of Pak Nationals lodged in Indian jails and Indian fishermen languishing in jails in Pakistan.
This was held by a seven-member Indo-Pak joint Judicial committee which visited the Jaipur Central jail along with a team of officials of the Home Ministry to meet Pakistani prisoners lodged here.
At least three to four Pakistani nationals were lodged in jails in Rajasthan whose jail term has been completed and therefore, process for their release and repatriation can be taken up at an appropriate level by authorities by both the countries, a committee member said.
Likewise, efforts could also be made for release and repatriation of Indian fishermen held in Pakistan.
