Daylong curfew relaxation in Jammu

Jammu, Aug 21 (UNI) A day after fresh violence erupted in the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, the administration today announced a daylong curfew relaxation, official sources here said.

''The curfew will be relaxed in Jammu district for a day from 0500 hrs to 2000 hrs,'' the sources told UNI and added that it would be extended till 2200 hrs, if situation remains normal.

Day curfew has been lifted in Udhampur and Samba districts, they said.

However, one person died and 60 were wounded, five of them critically, in police-protestors clash in different parts of Jammu yesterday, while some vehicles, police post and an official building were also set ablaze by the mob.
