Chiranjeevi to offer worship with 'Homam' for party launch
Kancheepuram, Aug 21 (UNI) Telugu matinee idol Chiranjeevi, who is to formally launch his new political party in the temple town of Tirupati on August 26, will offer worship by performing 'Sada Chandi Homam' at the famous Kamatchi temple here tomorrow.
Chiranjeevi, accompanied by some of his family members, will arrive in this temple town via Chennai, to seek the proverbial Divine blessings for his new career in the wake of his huge success as a mega star in Tollywood.
Thirty five priests from Chennai, Coimbatore, Pudukkottai, Kumbakkonam as well as from Kancheepuram will conduct the 'Homam'.
Tight security arrangements have been made at the temple.
Mr Chiranjeevi will be the second Telugu matinee idol after former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N T Rama Rao, to take the plunge into politics by launching his own party. He will be announcing the name of his party and the flag at a public meeting in Tirupati.
