Sun Microsystem inks OEM pacts

Bangalore, Aug 18: On Monday, Aug 18, Sun Microsystems Inc announced new multi-year Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreements with Avanquest Software, Q-layer and Zenith InfoTech Ltd to expand the global reach of Sun(TM) xVM VirtualBox(TM).

According to a release here, these companies join a growing ecosystem of partners committed to Sun xVM VirtualBox, a cross-platform virtualization software. ''Sun xVM VirtualBox has become hugely popular with developers and power users and with a modular core that enables it to be embedded in many other solutions, xVM VirtualBox is expanding its reach to new audiences,'' company release here said quoting a high official.
