3rd UP Congress coordination committee meeting at Allahabd on Aug 28

Lucknow, Aug 18 (UNI) The third coordination committee meeting of the Uttar Pradesh Congress will be held at Allahabad on August 28 where the party leaders will chalk out a strategy for the coming Lok Sabha elections and its proposed electoral alliance with the Samajwadi Party.

Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi is expected to attend the coordination committee meeting at Allahabad and will address a public rally the same day.

State Congress prsident Rita Bahuguna Joshi said here today the meeting will be important as it would discuss several issues including the coming Lok Sabha polls,poll alliance with the SP and the achievement of the Indo-US civil nuclear deal.

''We would hold a public rally probably at P D Tandon park in Allahabad on August 28 after the coordination committee meeting'', she said.

After Lucknow and Jhansi, Allahabad will be the third destination where UP Congress will be holding its coordination committee meeting, the highest decision taking body of the state party.
