Two people commit suicide in industrial city of UP

Kanpur, Aug 16 (UNI) Two people allegedly committed suicide in Govindnagar and Nawabganj police circles here today.

According to police, 50-year-old Ashok Dubey hanged himself to death at his Canal Colony residence. He was reportedly depressed for the last few days.

In a separate incident, insurance agent Dinesh Gupta (30) ended his life by jumping into the Ganga river at Nawabganj area.

However, reason behind the extreme step remained a puzzle, police added.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
