After dungeon dad, a trailer dad who held family captive for three years

London, Aug 14 : An American man held his wife and four children captive in a 'filthy' trailer for three years.

Raymond Thurmond, from Georgia has been arrested for keeping his family caged in a bug-infested trailer, and fed them barely enough to stay alive.

The horror was discovered when his wife escaped and called police after he failed to return from his factory job - because he was having an affair

The policemen entered the trailer with gas masks because of the stink and found Mrs Thurmond and the kids aged 14, 13, 12 and nine close to starvation.

"It's the most disgusting scene I've been involved in as far as human waste and filth is concerned," the Mirror quoted Police chief Bruce Carlise, as saying.

"There were so many insects it looked like walls were moving," he added.
