Amarnath land issue; 120 VHP, BJP leaders held
Puducherry, Aug 13: About 120 Sangh Parivar activists, including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Puducherry president Viswalingam and BJP state chief Visweswaran, were arrested when they attempted to organise a road block at the Indira Gandhi square on Wednesday, Aug 13.
The agitation was part of the nation-wide agitation by the saffron outfits to press for restoration of the land to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB). Earlier, they took out a procession.
