Prince Williams dumps Becks'-type tattoo wish fearing girlfriend's backlash!

London, Aug 11 : Prince William is keen on getting a huge tattoo on his back, but fears that girlfriend Kate Middleton would think it was "chavvy".

While on board HMS Iron Duke in the Caribbean earlier this month, the 26-year-old British royal had told fellow sailors that he wanted to have a big tattoo just like soccer ace David Beckham.

"Lots of the guys onboard sport tattoos. It was obvious William was fascinated," British tabloid The Sun quoted William's navy pal as saying.

William even asked his pals how painful tattooing would be, and wanted to know what they thought of his idea for a tattoo across his shoulders.

"We didn't think he was serious - but he said he was keen to get a large tattoo like the one David Beckham has," said the source.

"He said the only thing stopping him was his girlfriend. He was worried she would think it was a bit too chivvy," the source added.
