No change of leadership in Uttarkhand : BJP
New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) Ruling out any change in leadership in Uttarakhand, the BJP today said the party MLAs had expressed themselves before party president Rajnath Singh and other leaders.
BJP spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy, answering questions on Uttarakhand MLAs meeting the party leadership in Delhi yesterday and today, said the MLAs had met BJP president Rajnath Singh and added that he had taken their views into cognisance.
The party freely allows its legislators to express its views and believed in inner party democracy. ''They are our party representatives and when they want to say something about the government, we are bound to hear them,'' Mr Rudy remarked.
The MLAs numbering about 21 yesterday met Mr Rajnath Singh fueling speculations about growing discontent in the state.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Maj Gen B C Khanduri too was in the Capital to meet top party leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L K Advani and Rajnath Singh.
