College lecturer, son killed in road accident
Chennai, Aug 10 (UNI) A college lecturer and her one-year-old son were crushed to death, while her husband and four-year-old girl escaped with injuries in a road accident at Manappakkam, near here, this morning.
The victims were returning home after offering worship in a church at St Thomas Mount this morning, when the accident occured.
Police said, Jestin Raj was travelling in a two-wheeler with his wife and two children on the pillion, when a tanker lorry hit them from behind.
Esther, who is working as a lecturer in a private college and her son Jackson, whom she was holding with a belt, were killed on the spot, after the lorry ran over them.
Jestin Raj and the other child, Jayaseeli (4) who were thrown on the other side, escaped with injuries.
